Portishead - Dummy: Rated

PORTISHEAD - DUMMY (1994): 8.6/10

This was really great overall. Call me basic for my choice of fave track, I’m so indifferent. It is the best song on this album. It's their best song overall. I think it deserves its place. 

I love how it begins on a fade in and leaves us on a fade out: it feels like you’ve stumbled upon Portishead in an underground bar in a dream, but before you could hear the end of the song, you get dragged out by your next adventure. 

The rest of the album was excellent too - maybe with a couple of songs I would have to understand in context with the rest of Portishead's discography. I thought roads was a 10/10 as well, but as far as this album goes I would find it extremely difficult not to give first place to Glory Box.
